This policy explains what personal data is collected on nove-europa.eu (“Nove Europa”), why, and what your rights are.
Who is responsible
The website is run by Luca Pintilie. Contact: luca.pintilie@pm.me.
What we collect and why
- Contact form and email. If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, email address and message, and use them only to reply. Basis: your request (legitimate interest in answering you).
- Comments. If you leave a comment on an article, we store the name, email address and website you enter, the comment itself, your IP address and your browser user agent, to show the comment and to detect spam. An anonymised string made from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture (Gravatar privacy policy: automattic.com/privacy).
- Analytics. With your consent only, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google may receive your IP address and cookie identifiers. Without your consent, Google Analytics does not run. Jetpack Stats may also count page visits in aggregate form.
- Security and technical logs. Security tools and the hosting server may record IP addresses and technical data (for example failed login attempts) to keep the site safe. Basis: legitimate interest in security.
- Embedded content. Some articles embed YouTube videos. When a video loads, YouTube (Google) may receive your IP address and set cookies.
Cookies
See our Cookie policy. Optional cookies are set only after you accept them.
Who receives data
Only service providers that help run the site: the web host, Automattic (Jetpack and Gravatar), and Google (Analytics, YouTube). We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Messages are kept as long as needed to answer you and for reasonable record keeping. Comments stay until you ask for removal or the article is removed. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of the analytics account. Security logs are kept for a short period.
Your rights
You may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of the data you gave us, and you may withdraw consent at any time. Write to luca.pintilie@pm.me. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in Romania: ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro).
